Lori Van Dusen attended an event to honor Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System Ben Bernanke at The Economic Club of New York on November 20th, 2012. The biggest takeaway from the Chairman is that the Fed does not have tools to get the economy out of the hole that the fiscal cliff would cause and there has to be a deal before year end. He reiterated his position that the Fed will keep interest rates where they are until 2015; although the cost benefit of bringing them to zero is not favorable and has been the subject of much debate.
