Lori Van Dusen, CIMA®
Founder, CEO, Co-CIO

Lori is the Founder, CEO and Co-CIO of LVW Advisors.  She has become the voice of reason for unbiased integrated solutions in a fragmented financial services industry and is known for the client-focused strategies she has advocated for more than 25 years.

Lori began her career with a natural gravitation to the investment industry in 1987. By 2004 she had achieved the title of Managing Director with Citigroup/Smith Barney Institutional Consulting — a group that she helped to create. Later in a renegade move, she took the role of co-lead of Convergent Wealth Advisors’ Institutional Group, where she served on the Executive and Investment Committees, advising approximately $8 billion in assets for clients.

As a recipient of numerous accolades, Lori was most recently ranked No. 4 on the 2018 Best-In-State Wealth Advisors 2018. Lori is honored for being listed in Barron’s Top 100 Financial Advisors in America — earning herself a ranking on this list twelve times, most recently in 2016. Additionally, LVW Advisors has been ranked among the top institutional consultants in the nation, including being ranked on Barron’s Top 30 Institutional Consultants list since its inception. Lori is regularly listed in the top ten of Barron’s Top 100 Women Financial Advisors. Recently, Lori was named by Forbes as one of the Top 10 Women Wealth Advisors in America on their inaugural 2017 list. Also in 2017, Lori was featured on the J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Dow Jones panel discussion, “Let’s Talk: The Changing Face of Advice”, where she and Dr. David Kelly, Chief Global Strategist, J.P. Morgan Asset Management, discussed the investment and wealth management needs of today and the client of the future. This inaugural production was widely promoted in both Barron’s and The Wall Street Journal. Lori has been named to the Financial Times’ Top 300 Independent Advisors as well as FT‘s list of the top 100 Women Financial Advisors in 2014 — an inaugural edition providing a snapshot of the best in the business across the U.S. In 2010, she was named Institutional Investor’s Nonprofit Consultant of the Year.
